My Dying Superman

My Dying Superman

A Poem by Klayton Calix
"

This is a poem I wrote today based of a dream/nightmare I had the night before. The dream may/may not be a part of the blog or a separate blog all together. Until then, here is my poem.

"

They call me Superman
There's nothing amazing about this man
He does super things
That everyone can see
But they don't know
Because it doesn't show
The pain inside
I will die tonight
I am not super
I am not man
I wore a cape
I wore a mask
Blood in my eyes
Falling from the skies
It was not meant to be
A mortal man is all I see
A fatal mistake I did make
To impersonate an icon is my fate
I am Superman
I do super things
I am a mortal man
I die a mortal death

Aw.:( It's so sad. Very well written though. It paints a picture before my eyes. Very good.
