My Love

My Love

A Poem by Tracy Lynn
"

Something I wrote while I was finishing AIT and away from my love....

"

After all this time alone,
Getting used to being on my own,
I thought I didn’t need love,
Until the day you came along.

You came so fast,
You caught me off guard,
You took my heart,
Never to give it back.

My love for you grows each day,
With every breath I take,
But I don’t always know
Just how to tell you so.

We’re far apart for now,
But soon I’ll be back in your arms,
And there I’ll stay,
Forever until the end of days.

My love is a very relatable poem but I personally believe it can be more memorable if it rhymed.

It's funny how you get so used to being held {{even if for a short time}} and then you're gone {{again even for just a short time}} and suddenly you can't live without that feeling. It's amazing... =]
