A couple short ones

A couple short ones

A Poem by Dylan James
"

These are all fairly old. I wrote them for my poetry myspace, www.myspace.com/seasonsoflife

"

1. I'd be dead

That smile across your face
puts peace on my beating heart
If this love were to get any better
it would skip beats and I would be dead

2.Prologue to the illustration

Prologue to the Illustration

It is Ancient
It is magnificent
it came from the beginning
and it changes with the wind
Love.....

3.Teach it to sing.

A peaceful heartbeat
Hers and Mine
They have become intertwined
if only my heart could keep time
and the sound it made wasn't out of key.
so teach it so sing my love
teach it to sing
Teach My Heart To
Sing...

4.The Shutter

The shutter opens
Just as it is closed,
The flowers stand still
Made into perfect rows,
She catches them like a hawk,
In her eyes  an image grows,
Her heart is in photography,
and photography's in her soul.

Great short poetry. They're emotional and expressive, full of imagery and all wrapped up into four nice concise little bundles of tiny poetry. I liked "Prologue to the Illustration" the most. But I really liked the imagery in "The Shutter" probably because I love photography and hawks so much haha. Well done with these.
