The first time I saw you, something pulled me in.
Day by day, my love for you grew, and loving you felt beautiful.

But now, I see you’ve found your light in someone else,
They love you more, and your happiness means more to me,
Even if I can't be part of it.

Maybe it’s time to let go.
Maybe my love doesn't matter anymore.
I know you’ve forgotten me, and strangely, that doesn’t make me sad,
Because you’re a star, and I’m just someone watching from below.

For you, I might mean nothing.
For me, you mean everything.
Loving you hurts, so I’ll step back,
And set you free…
though you were home to me.
