Shine and Renee go to school

"

I woke up at 7:00 a.m. and smelled pancakes all the way from the second floor. I went into the other two rooms where Shine and Renee sleep in and they already woke up. After I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and put my contacts on. I went down stairs because I knew that my dad couldn’t cook so I figured someone was here. It was mom.

          “Good morning!” she said smiling.

“Hey! Is Jeremy here? Oh boy that smells so good.” After saying that my stomach started to growl.

“Jeremy’s in the living room so is Shine and Renee. I’ll call you when breakfast’s ready”

I went towards the living room and I heard chattering. I put my ear against the door but I only managed to hear “Jennebelle… surprised me… red eye”

Then I heard Jeremy saying lets just ask dad later. Instead, of trying to suddenly ask them I stayed quiet and pretended not to hear a single thing.

“Good morning. So… why’d you come over? In the morning of school day too” I asked Jeremy yawning.

“Oh Jenn! Well why not? I mean everyone’s here. Also, my mom just came over because she had to meet with dad”

          “Hmm. True”

“I can’t wait to go to school and see how it’s like!” Renee said excitedly

          “Breakfast’s ready!” Mom said.

“Yum!” We all ran to the kitchen. We smelled the delicious aroma from the food and we stuffed ourselves.

“Oh yeah… Is dad at the lab downstairs?” Shine asked with food in her mouth

“Yup” I answered. I looked at the clock and it said 7:15.

“Oh I need to get ready for school”

          “Oh me too!” Shine said

          “Me three” Renee yelled

I changed into my favorite clothes. I wore a white halter with long navy jeans. I got my backpack and waited downstairs for Shine. When she came down we all walked to school. People were looking at Shine and Renee.

“What is up with their staring?” Renee cried.

“Try to get used to it. They’ll stop after today so don’t worry”

We went to lunch together and sat on a table with Kathryn and Eve. Apparently, Shine and Renee have almost all of their periods together while me and Jeremy have our first, second, fourth and last period together. Coincidentally, Jeremy, Shine, Renee, Kathryn, and Me are all in the same period before lunch, which is History. I called Eve over and Jeremy called Dan over. We were always together in lunch and now that there’s Shine and Renee our group just got even bigger. Not only that… now that Shine and Renee came to our school as new students, we were the center of attention.

We all went home together but not Dan and Eve. However, Kathryn came with us because she needed to go to the lab today. She comes every Fridays after school to help my parents. When we came home I heard a faint yelling of my dad.

“Come downstairs!” obeying, we all went downstairs. We all clogged our noses because of the smell and ran into the library and saw mom and dad. They made a chain bracelet with a gem in the middle: blue for Jeremy and Purple for the girls. We all put it on and studied it.

“It’s a device where if you can’t find anybody it shows you a map of where they are. It can also alert where Black Days are”, dad explained, “I’m going to upgrade it when I find out some things that can be useful.” He started cleaning up his desk and we were just observing the bracelet.

“Oh right. Also, I have an announcement. I’m going to ask a teacher if I can start working there.”

          “Why?!” We said in unison

“Okay well. I’m sure you have clubs in your school right?” We all nodded. “Well, I’m going to make some kind of club in your school.

Out of curiosity I asked, “But why in our school?”

“Because, I found out that your school is more safer then at home. Also, if something were to happen during school that is associated with Black Days the kids will probably be scared, and if something like that happens then I have to do something about it while you guys are fighting.

“Hold on, Hold on. What do you mean our school is more safer?” Renee asked.

“Just think about it. Black Days knew where our house was. It’s not like anybody told them. Am I right?”

It was true. How did Black Days know where our house was?

“Also! The only people who are allowed are you 4 and Kathryn. The only new recruits there will be are new twins or people who find out about your powers. We must keep it absolutely confidential. The only people who will know about this, is one of the teachers in your school. She is a friend of my mine. She knows about you guys so don’t worry about it. I’m planning on asking right on Monday. She’s also another reason why I’m working there. She used to be a former school friend and we met recently. She studies the same subject while teaching a high school. You have to come in the room after school or if you have plans tell me earlier and we can change the schedule. Also, this club will be an absolute secret from your friends.”

          We all nodded.

We went back upstairs and see Jeremy and his mom go home. When I went back in the house the door suddenly creaked slightly opened and saw a hooded person run past by the window. Could it be… them? Hmph. Impossible. I thought.
