My Commencement

She meets a strange and interesting boy, Jeremy

          I’m a sophomore in high school. Age 15. Yep. I am a “normal” girl with absolutely nothing special about me. (Did you like the quotes? That gave it away, huh?)

          Psyke! Okay think about… powers from fiction books. What’s the first thing you think about? If you thought about Telekinesis…  DING, DING, DING, DING, DING! Give your self a pat on the back because I have that. Envious? I know you are.

          But let me ask you another million dollar question. What’s my name and what is the meaning? I betcha’ nobody got it because my name is so out there! I’ll seriously give a million dollars if you guess Jennebelle Scarlet. *Insert smiling icon*.

          Jennebelle means special. I seriously wonder if my dad named me Jennebelle because of my powers or if he really thought I was special. Who knows? He’s a scientists who does weird things, and because of him I have some nasty scars. He’s really nice though. Also, I’m pretty sure you know that scarlet is the color of my eyes.

          Woopsie! Just slipped right out. Scared you didn’t I? Red eyes! Isn’t that so cool. (Say no, people will give you the demon stares if you do. So if you do have red irises, I daresay to wear color contacts!) But if you do, then that means you’re one of us… I mean me because… you know… I think I’m the only one with powers.

          When I say us… I mean me… I mean as in Code Breakers. My dad said that people with powers like me are called Code Breakers. Apparently, it’s a name he came up with. He always says it like the fortune cookie way as if the name has a meaning.

          Also, call me crazy if you want but I can hear a strange voice in my head. All I know is that it’s a guy around the same age as me. When I’m in my room I hear the strangest things. Like one time I heard,

          “Ugh! I burned myself without noticing again.” I guess it can just be my entertainer for now. Some of his thoughts can be pretty funny like how he burned himself without noticing…

          How did I know it was from the dude’s mind? Well as you all know by now, I am a mind mastermind.

          As for now, I go to school like any girl should. Since I’m going to a new school I need to get prepared. I thought that instead of looking like a girl who should be stared at 24/7 because of her eyes, I thought I should change my look

          So, I went to get a haircut. The hair cutter cut my hair to shoulder length and straightened it. Giving me a very clean look.

          I bought some makeup just to cover up some recent scars.

          And of course I had to buy color contacts to evade my red eyes.

This is my first chapter for my story. I'm still not good with story writing because I'm kind of young. I never really strived to be a writer either but writing stories is very fun.
