The PowerA Story by Diana TaylorFor people who are into Batman and the Joker“So, you came to join me?” The Joker’s loud booming voice echoed through the darkness. I knew in an instant that I was in his mind. It was so cold and in the pit of my stomach I felt an emptiness I had only felt once in my life. It was the feeling you get when you lose your mom at the grocery store. After you look around and find out she is gone, after the initial shock. That feeling when everything hits you at once and a sob is about to escape. When, all the memories come flooding back to you and you realize, even though you’re young that you have taken so much for granted. The feeling of eternal loneliness rushes over you even though there are plenty of people around. That foreign feeling was taken from me and multiplied by a thousand for him. I looked around the blackness and felt lost in the Joker’s emotions. I felt sad for him but my feelings were replaced by his once again. As he replaced my feelings with anger and frustration I understood. People had told me he felt nothing. People had said he had no super power, that he was just insane. I instantly knew they were wrong. His power was that he felt everything. I could also tell that his power was his weakness. The thought overwhelmed me so, that I too fell into my own pit of darkness. © 2015 Diana TaylorAuthor's Note
