Reading Stories

A Poem by Ellie Luck

There once were many stories to be read,
and almost every time they were right.

Then we had to go to bed
and we had to turn out our lights.

Once Upon a time,
there were real books,
and every time we opened one,
away, I couldn't look.

There were castles and there were dragons,
there were knights and maidens too,
then we all grew up,
and had to read other things in school.
