Stella The Black Widow Spider

Stella The Black Widow Spider

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

Stella the black widow spider
Was desperate to have food inside her
She said to her mate fetch me a plate
I need you to join me for dinner.

Now Stella the spiders a widow
She weeps for the loss of her fellow
That night she felt guilt as she pulled up her quilt
When she found half his head on her pillow.

This is pretty neat, I like the rhythm it has to it. It's almost reminiscent of an old nursery rhyme, only a more demented tone and not for children, obviously :) I liked this very much.
