If You Walk Upon The Graves Son

If You Walk Upon The Graves Son

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

If you walk upon the graves son
The dead open their eyes
Please walk around the graves Dean
My words i say are wise.

They are in a deep sleep son
Their lives have gone you see
They don't want to be disturbed
By the likes of you or me.

Let's just read the stones son
Look she's 86 today
That young boy was your age
When he sadly passed away.

It's always peaceful here son
Everyday's the same
Dead people never hurt you
It's the living that cause pain.

Someday we'll end up here son
Or we may prefer the crem
Come let's let them sleep son
Until we meet again.
