Ghost On The StairsA Poem by DEAN FARNELLBased on my Mothers true sighting of an apparition, also a song on itunes and features in Rock and Roll Ghost Stories. Also Published in Ghost Voices Magazine.
There's a ghost on the stairs,
Its just sitting there. It sure scared the hell out of me, And now I do believe that ghosts are a certainty. I came home from a do, I'd had a drink or two, I just can't believe my eyes, It took me by surprise. This spirit that I see, That stands in front of me, Has given me a fright, Now how will I sleep tonight. Now I swear to you that I'd only had a few. I can't believe I see, a ghost in front of me, In ghosts Now I do believe. I was washing up the dishes When i face I could see, Looking through the windows, Staring back at me. I chased it through the garden, It went straight through the fence. The figure just vanished, We never met again.
