The Witch In The Forest

The Witch In The Forest

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

The frightening old witch in the forest
Roams in and out of the trees.
Legend is told you will vanish
If your the first person she see's.

Many have walked in the forest
But no one go's in after dark.
The witch she will wait for the moon to go down
Then takes to her sinister path.

Some did try to search for the witch
But never returned to explain.
Messing with legends is risky
So they've only themselves to blame.

They say that the story is fabled
As no-one has seen the old witch.
But i say there's no smoke without fire
There's always some truth in a myth.
