The Creepy Nuns

The Creepy Nuns

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL
"

"As a kid i used to live near a Nunnery which had a huge conker tree here's my story"

"
The Nunnery was a scary old place
Set high on the hills of Weston.
The mysterious ladies, that never had babies
Were elusive without any Question.

I had nothing against the nuns i can say
But they did lead mysterious lives
These women of god, i'd give them a nod
Intrigued by there godly disguise.

I used to creep round, the sacred old grounds
Just on the lookout for conkers.
I risked the wrath, of those ladies in black
I must have been absolute bonkers.

Yeah i was scared, but yes i did dare
To go in the grounds after dark.
But if i saw a nun, i'd bloody well run
It's an image that's still left it's mark.

There are a few spelling/grammar mistakes to be looked over and I'd probably make the font a bit larger then center it (It makes a big difference on how people react to it) but I liked the poem nonetheless, I think it's descriptive enough to bring the reader back to your childhood without being overly long like some other creepy attempts for poetry,
Short, simple, definitely not sweet but that's a great thing in my book!
