My Duvet Scares The Monsters

My Duvet Scares The Monsters

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL
"

when people get scared they hide under a duvet

"
I had a close escape last night
As I lay in my bed
Freddie Kruger, Dracula
Were both baying for my head.

They were joined by Frankenstein
A Werewolf and a Mummy
You may well think I'm wimpy
But I don't think it's funny.

I hid underneath the duvet
I never made a sound
These guys were mean and angry
They were searching all around.

All i need when i get scared
To keep demons at bay
Is a duvet pulled up to my eyes
It scares them all away.

Yes, but if it were Dracula, the Bram Stoker Gary Oldman one, then no. He is far too adorable to be scared of.
