Dining With The GargoylesA Poem by DEAN FARNELLi used to live in a flat next door to a church and the window overlooked a church steeple.I bought a flat next door to a church I never really noticed them at first While I was eating sat down to tea I'm aware of eyes peering at me. My window looked out onto the spire The things that looked in i did not desire Gargoyles watched as I drank my wine Faces grotesque as you ever would find. I still have flashbacks now and then I think they must be, some omen It reminds me of faces oh so familiar A few old flames were very similiar. © 2016 DEAN FARNELL |
