The Ghost Train RideA Poem by DEAN FARNELLwritten about my first Ghost Train Ride on weston pier as a boy
I was feeling brave and a big tough man
When my endless nightmares first began I'd gone for a ride on the pier ghost train Now i'm never gonna be the same again At night when i sleep i hear all the screaming I can see all those monsters when i am dreaming The thing i remember as i slept in my bed Is my face getting covered by a huge cobweb. It's scary in the darkness when the skeletons rattle I try to get to sleep but it's a losing battle The ghost train was a fear that i didn't expect I never ever knew what was gonna jump out next. If i could turn back the clock i would miss that train Then these silly little fears would be out my brain I may act tough but i'm scared when alone By a ghost train ride to a place unknown.
