The Spirits Of Anne And KatherineA Poem by DEAN FARNELL
The towers of London could tell us a story
Of all things terrible, evil and gory She looks for her head old Anne Boleyn Her and poor Katherine, were Henry's victims. As two headless ghosts, the girls sealed their fate When they fell out of favour with Henry the eighth For hundreds of years they wander these towers Their souls roam the yards, for hours and hours. The old Tudor walls, watch tortured by pain The girls endless search, they know is in vain Finding their heads,is a pitiful task If Henry is watching, I'm certain he'll laugh.
