ME

ME

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

I wish I was much taller
With looks like Steve McQueen
I'd die to be like Clooney
Ripped and oh so lean

With hair as black as Elvis
A voice like Barry White
My chest as wide as Arnies
With teeth so gleaming White

To be loved like Casanova
With girls at beck and call
Play footie like Ronaldo
To be king of the dancefloor

To play guitar like Hendrix
With loving lasting fame
A million tweets on what I do
A world that knows my name

The truth Is I am little
With happiness and health
I need no other gimmicks
I'm just happy with myself

I like it Dean. Your guy has dreams but I think he knows where he stands. I think your writing style is spot on for the subject - light and humorous.

Many thanks for taking time to read it Donna much appreciated
What a lovely poem! Light, humorous and a delightful clinching final verse. It is refreshing to read a poem from someone who is happy with themself, rather than complaining about their lot in one way or another. Keep up the good work!
