The Old Transporter Ale House

The Old Transporter Ale House

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

The Old Transporter Ale House
Is run by Steve and Jay
They welcome all their drinkers
Who pass along the way

Steve's the gentle giant
Who's loves his bikes and beer
You'll find him on the dartboard
Whom all the players fear

Jay's the kind of lady
Where nothings too much trouble
Also pretty good at darts
But struggles on a double

The Locals are the backbone
The Ale House bread and butter
Some are loud but kind at heart
And of course the local nutter

I'll miss the Old Transporter
You'll always be the place
Where I never left one single time
Without a smile upon my face

My belly Is now twice the size
Since I walked In just last summer
Such a shame I could not Stay
Life Is such a bummer
