The Fate Of The Pumpkins (A Halloween Tragedy)

The Fate Of The Pumpkins (A Halloween Tragedy)

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

They loved me when they saw me
I was welcome In their place
October was the dreaded month
My slaying would take place

The knives were placed so neatly
This giggling crowds distasteful
The young ones want a piece of me
Which I found quite disgraceful

They gathered round my body
A knife sliced through my skin
My flesh now in recycling
A light was then shoved In

My Teeth and nose are glowing
I'm depicted like a fiend
I'm then placed on their doorstep
On the night of Halloween

My supermarket brothers
Will face a similar fate
So I hope this poems published
Before Its all too late
