Watch Me

Watch Me

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

I know your eyes are watching me
How often they will stare
I know you're glued for hours on end
And I won't even know who's there
Cry or shout just let it out
Go on just let off steam
I can do some dreadful things
Some will make you scream
I like to test you after dark
But mostly after nine
A little bit of cheekiness
Perhaps a little crime
To balance out the nasty things
I'll try to ditch the sorrow
I will get you laughing till you ache
So you'll come back tomorrow
I know I'm safe behind the glass
And you I'll never see
I'm not a freaky weirdo
Just an actor on TV
