The Mourning Of Halloween

The Mourning Of Halloween

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

The 31st has been and gone
Oh what a night It's been
My belly full of special treats
It's because of Halloween

I partied with some witches
Complete with warts and all
A song was played so perfect
It was called The Monsters Ball

The hell and horror promised
Just ended up as fun
The scaring ends with laughter
Enjoyed by everyone

I'm mourning such a crazy night
Zombies, now gone home
The devils back to hell again
And ghosts no longer roam

Pumpkins In the kitchen
Their juices going dry
Halloween you went so fast
Its hard to say goodbye
