My Face

My Face

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

My face Is like a diary,
Each wrinkle tells a story,
What I had, what I have,
Still here In all its glory.

All those times that I saw pain,
I had to lose to win,
All those things that I have lost,
It helped me to begin.

Things happen for a reason,
And I've made it through somehow,
But the greatest thing I've always had,
Was being here right now.

I feel like I want to add an 'is' into your third line...'what I had, is what I have'...

But, Very insightful, love this one too.
