Lock Up Santa ClauseA Poem by DEAN FARNELL
His time is drawing near,
His aim is very clear, To pilfer all my money, He'll laugh and think its funny. He hides away all year, This the man that I do fear, He gets into my head, He leaves me in the red. I fall for all his hype, My savings sacrificed, I'm broke I start to cringe I'll be Penniless till spring, I start to get on track, Just as the clocks go back, When his face is seen again, I start to feel the strain. The Ads come in September, When Its 3 months till December, My face begins to frown, Santa's back in town. I'm brainwashed by the offers, To prise away my coppers, This Christmas will be best, But Its leaving me in debt. I can't escape this pest, Iv'e nothing to invest, So I plead to bring in laws, To lock up Santa clause.
