MY 45 RPM

MY 45 RPM

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

My single is precious,
This record is sacred,
A prized first pressing,
I don't want to break it.

It remains unplayed,
Its like no other,
The sleeve looks fab,
In its poly cover.

I Scouted forever,
To find this treasure,
I'd dreamed I'd own it,
Forever and ever.

The nightmares Iv'e had,
About my disc,
Is where It ends up,
When I don't exist.

The truth will be,
That my holy grail,
Will be sold at dawn,
At a car boot sale.
