AloneA Poem by DEAN FARNELL
I am now old since you went away,
The days they zoomed on by, Been 30 years, I still shed tears, Still I'm asking why. You went and left me all alone, That last week in December, Christmas presents still unwrapped, Your dying words remembered. Please don't end up all alone, You told me when you left, You will forget me that I'm sure, The last words from your breath. 30 years I'd worried, That one day I'd move on, Today your pictures in my wallet, Prove you'll still the one. You told me that I would find love, It never was the case, The 30 years could not erase, The memory of your face.
