Scooby Phew

Scooby Phew

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

I'm so bored of Scooby Doo,
The plots are all the same,
It always was the janitor,
Who seems to get the blame.

I watched a few when I was young,
It seemed to be repeated,
I got to 13 episodes,
Till I felt that I'd been cheated.

The gang were always running,
And In those the same old clothes,
And sweaty little teenagers,
Are not easy on the nose.

Shaggy must have been the worst,
A sort of cartoon hippy,
Scooby was his greatest pal,
Because he was so whiffy.

There was no use in searching,
To start them on their trail,
The gang just had to raise their arms,
They would catch them without fail.

So my theory why they caught the crooks,
Which they did so very well,
Is they were gassed into submission,
By the Scooby gangs smell.

I always thought the success of Scooby Doo had more to do with sexual politics than the story line. This poem, however, throws a whole new light on my interpretation of the classic cartoon Keep up the good work.

LOL This was so funny to me! A fun and well-written write, friend. :) I have to admit...although I didn't grow up on Scooby Doo, I get tired of the re-runs and remakes they show on TV. Great write!
