The Ghosts

The Ghosts

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

Ghosts were in my attic,
And also in the cellar,
A lady has just bought my house,
But I'm never gonna tell her.

The Ghosts were always active,
The Ghosts they all had charm,
I'm sure they'll make their presence felt,
But they won't do her any harm.

It was absolutely heaven,
When she agreed my asking price,
The ghosts that day kept quiet,
She said my place was nice.

She looked at me just puzzled,
She wonders why I'm selling,
But she will find out soon enough,
As I'm sure as hell not telling.

I wished her all the best of luck,
The ghosts will be a scream,
The deal was done, I had fun,
Do you think I'm mean?
