Back To Hell

Back To Hell

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

I'm going on a journey,
Where I've been just once before,
40 years I've waited,
I'm not frightening anymore.

The last time that I came here,
I must have been just 10,
For years I always wondered,
If I'd be back again.

I have put it off for decades,
Since that scare in 72,
Now that I am 50,
It's a thing that I must do.

Seats there are a plenty,
I didn't have to book,
What I'll see may haunt me,
But I'm dying for a look.

I take my seat and hope and pray,
I reach the other side,
It's then I'll rid my demons,
On that pesky Ghost Train Ride.
