My Haunted Attic

My Haunted Attic

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

I'm told that my attic was haunted,
From my landlord and stories he's told,
He said please don't you go in your roof space,
You will shiver and shake from the cold.

My poor landlord he likes telling stories,
Like the attic did once live a demon.
So I checked and just found massive holes.
The sods saving cash on the ceiling.

I like it, made me laugh. And a good portrait of landlords in general.
*in love with the last line*
