THE WALL

THE WALL

A Poem by Olufix

This vertically posed structure.
Highly set to guard her majesty.
Fire jumps the palace walls.
Bandits nigh in peace.
We haste, we flee.
Mourning songs of victory.
Thus, our home in pieces.

Yet archaic, served us.
A great piece it was.
As strong as an elephant.
An envy to foes.
Now, a spoil for toast.
We wish we were ghosts,
To haunt our foes.

this is a cool poem, I like how vengeance extends from the grave in the wish to be spirits on earth than any other afterlife
