Femininity and the moon are closely related; our cycles, our moods, all shift with the phasing of the moon. I'm growing to love her, the better I know her, and the more I understand
Maybe women have more of an affinity for the moon...a love hate relationship...due to the control she exerts with the lunar cycle. Also where the term lunacy originated.
Throughout literature, when a man looks at the full moon he turns into a werewolf or some other raving lunatic. ;>0)
Welcome back, Dani. nice to see you again.

There seems to be a reference to "right" and "left" that I'm not following . . . can't imagine what this might symbolize!?!?! Other than that mystery, I love your poem most of all becuz it doesn't sound like any other "moon" poem . . . more about having a relationship with the moon, which many of us do. Since I've not had a lifetime marked by a "monthly cycle" (spayed young) I do not relate to the moon in the womanly way this poem does & I often forget about that aspect of it! Not sure if you're "back" . . . but I do miss seeing you here! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

The right and left does have a lot of significance for me, and the feminine is associated with the left, and the masculine, the right. I don't know if that is a universal thing, but I've heard it in several places, most recently a yoga thing I did where breathing from right vs left nostrils were supposed to "activate" something or another LOL. Thanks so much for reading and commenting
'My Feminine moon'
D Connolly,
Oh yea Moon! We see reflection- true, honest. I ponder this characteristic of Luna for it whispers a message, a secret. Actually this is in something I will be working on, not submitted here though. Maybe who knows. I digress. Thanks for the thumbs up to th beauty of the moon and how we can identify. It has become a 'she' here and alive somehow. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem in entirety.
Bless you
Kathy

this flows like the waxing and waning of the moon...I cannot deny the connection of women and the moon. I believe that everything I have written about the moon has had the moon as a female. Wonderful feel, I loved it!!
The beat of her rhythm is alive and well in your words Dani. We are nothing more than our ever expanding selves. When we fall into something with such a positive rhythm, that we somehow know we are on the right path for a mind upgrade. :)
