Bluegreen

Bluegreen

A Poem by D Connolly
"

Inspired by C Froman's "Wave on Wave"

"

I come to you when I need to understand

Rocked by your gentle arms like a child

You never lie, no matter how painful the truth is

Acceptance ebbs slowly, as you've taught me

And I learn

Purifying my lungs with your salty caress

You carry my troubles away to the depths

And bring them back to me with new reflection

I emerge stronger than before

Reborn

And itchy with new skin

D Connolly,
Oh this one really clicks with me! Your title choice is perfect and water colors have a calming effect, a sit and ponder effect. It is lovely to be taken along with you on this time of reflection and even what sounds like some healing. Natural places like this are so important for we people. Bless you so much. I really appreciated this lovely piece!

It's so purifying - the sea has that primordial effect that grounds us so. I agree D.
it is sometimes fightening for me cause I get panic attacks in the sea but I like to still like to float atop it on my back and sing (yes sing) to the gulls on the buoys and jettys. Their expressions are just magical.
I like this a lot.

There is such a sacred serenity in your words that just lifts the soul on the blue green waves. So beautifully voiced and alive with the warmth we all seek from one who loves us, who speaks life into us, and who desires us to become who we were meant to be. What an honor reading your inspiration!

i like what is being conveyed in this. the truth is difficult to accept but it is the only thing that can truly set us free otherwise we are trapped and held captive. outstanding thought. nice job.

Just seeing the waters around Florida, then comparing that to a shipping site where all looks like black and oil, you are seeing God's beauty in action. Valentine
