'Bluegreen'
D Connolly,
Oh this one really clicks with me! Your title choice is perfect and water colors have a calming effect, a sit and ponder effect. It is lovely to be taken along with you on this time of reflection and even what sounds like some healing. Natural places like this are so important for we people. Bless you so much. I really appreciated this lovely piece!

Thank-you so much Kathy, I'm glad you were able to relate to this
When I would have a lot going on with me, there's this place I would go to where I can just sit think and stare at the open sea. your poem took me there.
so peaceful.
This is beautiful.
This write shows your connect with the waters. Learning from the nature and deriving strength is possible only for the one who is connected and aware. Your write took me to the seas with its flow.. Thank you for sharing this....
I worked on a boat for quite a few years in the Gulf of Mexico and I quite understand where you are coming from within the lines of this wonderful piece of poetical writing, D. Connolly. There is something akin to magical about the "bluegreen" waters, whether riding the gentle and sometimes turbulent waves on a boat, or relaxing in its waters when dockside. Loved this posting of yours.

I love this. Having been inspired by water, and the ocean, many times. I would point you to my book of poetry "Animal Nature" that has similar themes. Which is why I am going to all the trouble of organizing my stuff -- to pinpoint writing for people instead of making them sift.:)

This is a very beautiful writing. Nature often rocks a wounded heart. You show the beauty of the waters and your relationship with it so well. However, using the word "itchy" in the last line, I felt, has jeopardized the expression of calmness in the earlier lines. Nice one anyway.

I used the word itchy because literally, once I step out of salt water, I am, in fact, itchy. However, I used it here to demonstrate how a healed wound or "new skin" as I put it, can sometimes feel uncomfortable, as many learned lessons can make us feel before full acceptance.

This is beautiful Dani. The peace and tranquillity of the waves, beating a harmony that mesmerises. Until I remember that in those waters, there are many things that bite, sharks and swimming knives for example. Then I decide just to stay on the beach and do something safer, like checking out the ladies....which is usually safer. :)
Although to be honest, our beaches have sand and water, that is where the similarity to beaches ends. We live on the North sea, which is basically where the arctic ocean comes to when it needs cooling down :)
