Marked

A Poem by DCT ponderings
"

A road map of love and devastation

"

I miss our love without translation

we lived without need for explanation

This road map of love and devastation

Scars upon my skin

Each one telling its tale in turn

Of every lesson I had to learn

Deep truth these wounds discern

Muscle memory of heartaches

Your fingers traced their rawness

As you honored my goddess

Quietly disarming my wholeness

This body marked from so many losses

Now you are gone, mirror tossed

My magnifying glass, our language lost

Tired I fear the Piper's cost

No other will truly see all of me

Loved the first line! And the third stanza...
The rhyming scheme seemed a bit forced at times, if I'm viewing this piece with a critical eye...
Overall, I enjoyed the vibe of the piece.
