In colors composed

Let me be your canvas

Saturate me

Show me the hues

The black lines of your art

 

Awash

In Ink of unspoken words

Upon my blank page

 

Truth embedded

Love letters gentle caress

A masterpiece mapped out

 

Upon my white translucent skin

In your darkest ink

Our love painted

 

In outlines of solemn secrets

Inscriptions not yet written

I surrender

 

With every word

Trusting Whispers dyed

Your pen etching

  

Across lazy afternoons

Intertwined fingers dancing

In sunlit shadows upon the floor

Nice structure and form; slowed this reader down enough to absorb the imagery and the moment the poet would like for us to witness. Almost every one of these stanza's could stand on their own, each a stone that gives rise to a larger monument, dedicated to the moment. Well crafted piece.

this is a beautiful declaration of commitment and giving up anything to paint this beautiful picture with someone that you care about. this piece had me wishing anyone would ever write about me in this way. thank you for sharing these amazing words! i also really liked your stanza breaks- they were compelling and unique.

Thanks Dana! I love that you read commitment inside the declaration. I worked on this one to create stanzas that could stand on there own but would also tie one into the next.

Perhaps someone has already written of you in this way. I doubt my high school love for whom this is written knows these words exist in his honor. So I say, assume someone has because I no doubt you glory has inspired. ;)
