Minerva's KissA Poem by DCT ponderingsThis a tribute to spoken word poetry and a few performers/wordsmiths I admire...Anis Mojgani, Alysia Harris, Sarah Kay.I met my new love. Lost in all the yesterdays of words I've heard and spoken again. Lost inside thesis brought to life. Awakened anew Bursting forth Flush from solitude. Rebirthed from the aches that lay naked inside the echoes of your absence. Words emptied and free pouring forth the battles of gladiators with no expectations of what is next. Here am I Words reminding me “questions are the only answers we need.”
My new love Found in the breaths between. The words whispered of doing it wrong. Found in the lessons taught to your daughter letting me know I can. Assuring me I will. saying you want to know all of what makes me,
ME.
My new love An old love once more remembered, refreshed, renewed. Thank you. Awash in your words walking through Paris in the rain. Your Cadence. This, this is my love letter to you. spoken of words, my words intimate in murmurs sweet Kissed in the shadows of the Louvre. © 2013 DCT ponderingsReviews
