Patched

Patched

A Poem by Delainie Broaster

Patched

Dad,
We've been through patches
Can I be completely candid?
Patches of adventures
You gave me dreams.
Patches of heartbreaks
Taking away my hopes.

I grew up with everything
A girl dazes upon
But no one
A girl wants to be the One.
I'm glad though
For now,
I am patched by your love.
