AUTUMN

AUTUMN

A Poem by DBURKE

Underneath a rolling cluster of gray fluff

The white cotton puffs of summers Passover

Outlines the remaining crystal water in air

The trees are diverse signs of wisdom

Not afraid to wear blonde, auburn, and ash colored hair

Shedding, preparing for the stress

Of the cold, bitter, depression that comes soon

Stretching arms to the sky

At the flaming energy

Barely there
