DIRTY LAUNDRY

DIRTY LAUNDRY

A Poem by DBURKE

Yes my friend

I am sure to separate

The darks from the whites

I am aware how you like them folded

And I will do it right

Repetitive this job

I am bored indeed

In fact I am not a servant

But a friend who has needs

I carry your load

From the house to the car

But when my laundry is dirty

You never go that far

So when you need to wash

I suggest you roll up your sleeves

Because I am a friend not a slave

Only to be called when in need

Very nice. Feeling used is a two way street sometimes. we have to assert ourselves to stay sane.
