MORE THAN SADA Poem by DBURKEThey say the eyes are the window to one's soul- But the soul is bared in tounge Expression so easily spoken But not one ear to listen
They say you can see a persons heart from their eyes- But many find ways to conceal Generically wearing a placed smile But the smile only can cover so much
How deep are the eyes when tears are like repetitive rivers- But no one will visit them uncomfortabley they back down From finding the source of flow
In the dark the eyes are true displaying visions of real life In the dead space of time Where one will forever live
The eyes are only portals between human and soul- Mines can not sound off Nor no longer pretend That the soul is well
Sadness can not be conveyed Happiness can not be conveyed Just blank darkness connected to my ears- I rather be lost in blindness and suffer in my thoughts
