My Little SoldierA Poem by DBURKEyes this is my baby when she was a baby taking a picture as an angel now a real angel - forever loved and her courage will always be with me!
Dedicated to: Kierra Dy'Nelle Burke May 16,2000-Nov 7,2008
I am proud My daughter is among the bravest One of the youngest perhaps She is defiantly not in the war alone I have met others in her platoon Some cracking at the thought of death Others strong and in control A couple in self-pity A few worried about their families My baby stands tall with her head up No matter the pain, never mind my tears She shines with her badges in the lights Four years old and she writes me and says: Sickle Cell will never win! © 2010 DBURKEFeatured Review
