Bright and Dreary

Bright and Dreary

A Poem by DACAC

A Bright, sunny morning

Birds chirping in their nests

Children sleeping soundly in their bedrooms

Dad making coffee

Everyone else begins to wake up

From the shining, yellow sun outside

Good morning, yells the dad

Hitting the table while reading the paper

Into the kitchen, they run for food

Just as it starts to rain

Kids start crying

Lollipops won't even fix this

Miraculously, the sun came back up

No more crying children

Opening the door

Pouring rain starts again

Quarters flying into the fountain

Roosters are making loud noises

Sweaters are being worn

Teachers grade papers

Underwater the fish are swimming

Windows are closing

Xylophones are broken in the living room

Zee time of Christmas
