Station Trembles

Station Trembles

A Story by ArchaicDreamer
"

A moral battle is never truely won.

"
Darkness loomed ahead, light behind. I stood in the middle of the two. Alone, scared and uncertain.  The perfect combination for chaos. Except when you have to cause chaos, then, of course, it is the perfect combination for not being able to cause chaos.

'What are you waiting for?' came a hiss through the ear piece in my ear.

I shake my head to clear it and stamp my foot . The whole floor of Picadily station trembles. People are screaming and pouring out on to the street, knocking many unconscious in their attempt to get out of the collapsing station.

I drop to the floor, my unforgiving conscious eating away at me once again as I feel the pain and terror of the innocent lives I have, yet again, taken from them tonight.
