D4rK3sTsH4d0W: The Unknown Hero

In the land of Amethyst, magic was a common practice. It was normally used for everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning. However, now and again, it would be used to create destruction.

[Once, there was a young girl named Kana. When Kana was young, her village was burned by a group of magic users. They called themselves the Reaper clan, killing many people in many villages around the world, just for 'fun'. In Kana's village, there was no one who could fight the Reaper clan, so the village was destroyed. The young Kana found herself the last one alive, cornered to a wall. All of a sudden, a haze covered the whole village, a silhouette of a figure flew past, and in an instant it was over. All of the Reaper clan members were on the floor, some unconscious, others dead.]

|10 Years Later|

Kai: Master, please teach me how to control fire. I need to be able to protect the city if they come back!

Master Tekken: Surely you remember what happened to your father when he fought in the war. If you go out there, you may never come back alive!

Kai: But Master! That is all the more reason for you to teach me! If I don't learn fire magic, won't more people die next time they come back?

Master Tekken: Hmm... If you can pass  a test I will set for you, then I will teach you. However, if you should fail, I will never teach you.

Kai: Yes, thank you Master. I won't let you down.

Master Tekken: *Sigh* Lets begin.

|Later that night, in a nearby home|

Kai: You won't believe what just happened today!

Kana: Did you get dunked in a trash can again? Surprise surprise.

Kai: Shut up. I got accepted as the Masters student.

Kana: Wow, I never thought you had it in you. Congrats.

Kai: Finally someone appreciates my awesomeness.

Kana: I wouldn't say awesomeness, completed my training to control water 6 months ago.

Kai: Just cause' you're special doesn't mean you have to rub it in.

Kana: Surviving that massacre does not make me special! I didn't choose to be the only one!

Kai: Ya ya, I know. A haze covered the village and it was over. I heard the story like a thousand times.

Kana: *Calming down* Sorry, I might have gotten carried away. We need to get ready for the war.

Kai: Ya, I start my training tomorrow. What are you going to do?

Kana: I get to sort through the battle equipment. Remember, the soldiers have to use physical weapons.

Kai: Okay, well, I'm gonna hit the hay. I can't wait till morning comes!

Kana: Don't work yourself too hard. You might break a bone or two. 

Kai: Don't worry about it. I'm a pro.

|Two Weeks Later|

Kai: *Rushing into the house* The look out said the Reaper clan is on its way!

Kana: No! It can't be them! How could it be them?!

Kai We need to hurry, get yourself together!

Kana: *Calming down* Sorry, That name means a lot to me. I'm fine now. But are you sure you trained long enough?

Kai: I told you, I'm awesome. I mastered it the second day.

Kana: Sure you did. Just don't get killed.

Kai: Sure. Let's go!

Kana: Right.

|Later at the Front Gate of the City|

Kana: Are you ready for this?

Kai: I've been ready for a long time.

Kana: As soon as we go through the gate, we might not come back.

Kai: It's fine. Don't sweat it.

Kana: Then lets go!

Kai: Charge!

[As the two sides clashed, fire burned, water washed away and rocks flew, one hitting Kai.]

Kai: Agh!

Kana: Are you alright?

[Kana, walked up to Kai, finding that he was not alright]

Kana: Kai! Kai! .....

[Kana took Kai a safe distance away to make sure he was alive.]

Kana: Oh good! You're alright.

|Later at the Base Camp Prepared for the War|

Kana: Is there a doctor here? It's an emergency! Kai  is dying!

Doctor: Yes, I am a doctor. Help me lift him into the other room onto the bed.

Kana: Alright. 

[Having took Kai to the emergency magical procedure room, Kana started to worry more]

Kana: Doctor, will he be alright?

Doctor: Yes. I think he will make a quick recovery. He has some bleeding in his brain, however, I think that I know how it can be fixed. Can you grab the red, purple and white stones from the counter over there?

Kana: Sure. What do they do?

Doctor: They have magical properties allowing me to heal tiny injuries.

[The doctor took the stones and placed them at intervals on his body. The stones started glowing and Kai opened his eyes]

Kai: *Moving his arms as if to guard himself* Aaaggg!

Kana: Kai! Are you alright?!

Kai: Wait? Where am I? I thought I was about to get hit by a large rock.

Kana: You were, and I took you to the emergency medical building for the soldiers. 

Kai: Sorry for making you worry. Am I well enough to fight?

Doctor: I'm afraid not. It may still take you up to a month to fully recover.

Kai: Well, I guess I did as much as I can for now. Go get em' Kana.

Kana: Sorry Kai, but the Reaper clan got through the main gate and is already in the city. You might have survived, but we are all going to die soon.

Kai: Don't worry, we will figure something out.

[Just as Kai was reassuring Kana, a member of the Reaper clan appeared at the door]

Kana: No, not now!

Reaper member: Ha! I found the medical room, what luck.

[Just as the man at the door was about to take a step inside, he vanished in a shadow rushing past]

....

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: *Walking backwards towards the door* Wait, Do I know you?

Kana: Me?

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: Ya, you. I've seen you before. At a village i saved about 10 years ago.

Kana: Wait... You are the one who saved the village?!!!

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: Ya. Nice to meet you formally. I'd stay and talk, but I'm in a bit of a hurry. Mind if I step out for a 

sec?

[Walking out the door, D4rK3sTsH4d0W disappeared in a line of black. Just then, a haze fell over the village and was gone in an instant. D4rK3sTsH4d0W appeared again]

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: I'm back. So, what what were we talking about?

Kana: Wait. Did you just kill all of the Reaper clan?

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: Ya. It looks like I saved you again. So, my name is D4rK3sTsH4d0W. What's yours?

Kana: I'm Kana. I've never met a magic warrior as strong as you are. Where were you taught?

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: Thanks. I was actually taught at thousands of different places over the centuries.

Kana: Centuries?! You don't look a day over 20!

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: Oh, I must have forgotten to tell you. I'm immortal.

Kana: Ok now. I'm not stupid. No one is immortal.

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: I guess i'm no one then.

Kana: So you expect me to believe you are over 200 years old?

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: I'm actually much older than that. Actually, I first started learning magic 4,253 years, 217 days 9 hours 38 minutes and 12 seconds ago. 

Kana: Now I know you are lying. No one could remember exactly how many seconds ago something was.

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: Well, that was in years, days, hours, minutes and seconds. That would be about 134,141,391,500 seconds from the time I finished saying the number.

Kana: How the heck did you come up with that number?

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: Well, my brain is infinitely fast, I'm Immortal, Invincible, I can travel faster than light, and I am infinitely strong. That basically covers any questions you might have. Unless you were being literal. If you were any good at math, you would know to-

Kana: I know the math. That wasn't what I was talking about. *Sigh* This is a lot to take in.

[After Kana and D4rK3sTsH4d0W talked for a while, it was time for him to go]

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: Well, I am slightly in a hurry. It was nice that we got to talk. I'll come visit sometime.

Kana: Thanks again for saving me twice.

D4rK3sTsH4d0W: No problem. If you need me, just call. I'll hear it, trust me.

[D4rK3sTsH4d0W then crouched, and in an instant, he vanished. A large crater about 5 meters wide was left under where he  once was, startling Kai and Kana]

Kana: I'm not sure how much I believe him, but I think he had good intentions. 

Kai: I think he's weird. I mean, He kept saying he was immortal. I should have hit him a few times to find out.

Kana: So much like you. Come on, lets go back to the base, we need to make sure the city knows who saved it.

Kai: Ya. He made me want to train ten times harder. Maybe one day I'll be immortal too! Hahaha!

Kana: Ya right. Good luck!

Kai & Kana: Hahahahaha!

This is my first attempt at writing fantasy, so keep that in mind. Let me know how I did and what I should make note of.

I wrote this a year ago for a school project. I had to change it many ways to make it more presentable as well as the entire format and presentation style.
