A few Haiku

A few Haiku

A Poem by D.Truelove
"

All my unrelated haiku in one easy to find spot.

"

With no roots to hold

A leaf dancing in the wind

I ask why I'm here

The water trickles

Like the ebb and flow of life

A leaf floats downstream

Life will break me down

Like the rock in the river

I'm Perseverance

The echoes resound

From canyon walls when I shout

How hollow the life

Well done in expressing the question we all ask: Why am I here... the search begins and you take us on the journey... and the final question sticks in my brain, "How hollow the life!" Shall we then wonder how hallow the life? I like your writings.

Apart from the 3rd line in the 3rd haiku, there
is a somber blanket over the other ones.

You paint some wonderful images in all of them,
as bleak as they are.
My favourite has to be the first one,
"With no roots to hold
A leaf dancing in the wind
I ask why I'm here" - just like the eternal question with no answer in sight, what is the meaning of life?

Nicely done.
