Music And Multitudes

Music And Multitudes

A Poem by D
"

The heart turned cosmological.

"

Black and white
and black and white
and everything that comes
of cosmic imbalance;
metaphysics, baby, don’t
you know that your body
is a planet deep in tide?
The universe is a soundstage
set in the construct of you,
with acoustics spanning far,
but don’t ponder it, nah,
that’s when the plates settle.
Let’s just spin and burn such
was set in the beginning,
the end and opposite of now.
I’ll treat you like the beat-all
to everything fleshy or green
while you recount the balance.
There is nothing between
us that rests in the
lack and abundance of light.

This is a different kind of love poem and I love it. I like the imagery you set here. Radiant burning bright. Brilliant. Two pigs feet up! :)
