Twisted Fractured Fairytale

Twisted Fractured Fairytale

A Poem by Cyprian Van Dyke
"

“Everyone eats and drinks, but few appreciate taste.” Confucius

"

He was Dragon her under the desk

At the end of that bloody knife.

Was the ‘prince able’ to save her

From the warm out the ample bite?

One teach her, to - ok the plight,

Before this prom knight’s

Punchline was spiked.

My goodness!
The riddles are quirky!
Just when you think you have one figured out,
you have another interpretation winking at you.
Cyprian your pen is a magic wand!
One line spins multiple narratives.
This is a deliciously dangerous piece!

Aren't we all just waiting to be the warning parents tell their kids at night to make them behave? We always see ourselves as the hero slayer, right up until we realise that punch tasted a bit funny and we need a lie ...thump! ☺

A darkish poem with fine poetic medieval words and terms that enhance its charm.
A deep twist to the fairytales. Kudos!

Plz also read and comment my newest poem too.
