This is really good, you really give the character a dreamy realism and dimension as cartoonists often do, cartoon character writing is fun, I used to do a lot of it, rules don’t really apply and your creativity can fly. Well done
This is a fantasy, just like cartoons; I love your imagery and the lines you used to describe this journey of love... but in a cartoon....very imaginative!!!
Well done
Best, Betty
Cartoons are fantasies made visible and shared with others. The word "cartoonish" often has a negative connotation, but most art does the same in a similar way.
I think I not only read this but lived this poetry. Such a fantastic imaginary piece it is. I felt the waves of love, comfort & infatuation.
And ugh, totally fell for these lines:
"This love that is wow;
Their love that is now."
I have always had a fantasy of being in a painting... to swim in the colors and disappear into abstraction and then reemerge into a pastoral scene and traipse a meadow as the landscape get manipulated by the artist brush some paintings just hit me that way I want to dive into them and revel in the emotions placed within them. This is what your poem made me think about
Falling in love with his own creation...born from his dreams, an adorable fantasy, yet to him so real. What made it worthwhile for me was the artist's awe at his own creativity, the work of his hands, that fills him with such deep bliss and renews the passions in his soul. A very relatable poem for those who create art, live it. I just loved this read.
I stopped by a second time and reread both of your posted poems on WC. It was a pleasure to find this quality writing on the forum. I leave wanting more.
If you're not into reading but love movies, here's why you should give my poems a read:
I've been told many times that my writing is cinematic. I love movies and video games and I really aspire t.. more..
