True love exists in moments stumbled upon by accident in hospitals, in airports, and underneath the stars gone before you realize it was there missed before you knew you had it. – Atticus
This reads like a movie scene, Cyprian.....the ending to a romantic comedy perhaps; grabbing the kiss before the slap hits first. You described the scene well and I enjoyed the biblical reference to Moses there; if only we had his skill to part the traffic on occasion! It's a very romantic poem and well written. I enjoyed it much.
A wonderful poem with soft romance and surprises. Those wonderful moments do come unanticipated, unplanned...They happen in the magic of the moment. I like how you lead to the main event.
I like the way that from the very first line it describes many moments leading up to ‘the moment’, each of which is relevant and important to the whole poem. Very nice.
It's always nice not get slapped after a kiss. I found this poem worthwhile because the last line made me laugh. Please don't think that shallow of me. I'm a bit irreverent at the best of times. You set it up beautifully, the poem as romantic as an old black and white movie. Then pow! Humor. I'm still chuckling.
If you're not into reading but love movies, here's why you should give my poems a read:
I've been told many times that my writing is cinematic. I love movies and video games and I really aspire t.. more..
